Dan Collins has come face to face with death on many occassions. That is the nature of his profession. Being a hired thug for Jack Lawson, a notorious mob boss in the city of Waycross, his life is continuously in peril. It is a way of life he has grown accustomed to, and, by God, he's good at it. Delano believes Dan’s the one to replace him as a soldier of Death when Dan unwittingly saves the life of a little girl Delano was attempting to "reap". Dan is, of course, skeptical, and dimisses the strange, angry man with the brilliant blue eyes as a religious zealot. This leaves Delano in a titanic quandary. If Dan doesn’t accept this gift, the power to harvest and store righteous souls, the true source of the Creator's power, will become Satan’s, and mankind will be lost…Righteous Souls” is a mainstream thriller with spiritual and fantasy overtones the supernatural walking among mankind, in a contemporary urban setting. Multiple third person voices narrate the action. Some of the major themes dealt with are good vs. evil, the divine plan, equality and balance between races and genders, the symbiosis of the divine and the human, and the healing power of love.
